What is The Business Companion Magazine

Hi there,

I’m Toby, a headshot and business photographer based in Lincolnshire and the proud creator of The Business Companion Magazine.

After attending various networking events to promote my business I found the better conversations happened over a coffee 1-2-1 or outside the parameters of a 60 second pitch. This is because these conversations were based on sharing value as an exchange and in the process building trust in one anothers business and personnel. 

I wanted to create a platform that captured this approach. With no advertising space, the magazine is made up of value led articles contributed by local businesses for the benefit of local businesses, sharing expertise from their industry. To date, the magazine has featured a cross section of advie from web developers, to asset finance brokers, to therapists, to HR consultants. Distributed both in beautiful print copies with a soft touch cover, and shared digitally for those out of the current catchment area.

The response has been overwhelming. Readers have been excited to recieve quality print media again that encourages them to take 5 minutes with a coffee and to learn something new, all the while being introduced to new faces and businesses based in the local area. 

And of course, I can’t forget the mention the visuals that accompany each article, as I work with each contributing business providing them branding and portrait photography that helps promote their offering.
